NAME OMITTED
Walking south from Fourth South Street on Second East Street, passing the heroic statue of a Native American man advocating peace, I recalled I had wanted the Anglicized name of the famous Navajo sculptor, Allan Houser. (There is another version I like better.)
I decided to mental-note it while paying respects (as I always do) to the sculpture.
I was astonished that I could find no name, at all, on that statue.
Is there a story-to-be-told behind this omission? It is astounding. Or is it?
