SHOE TREE
Say “shoe tree” and most adults will picture those hardwood inserts-for-shoes that are shaped (sorta) like the human foot and are supposed to “shape up” the shoes.
Imagine our surprise when we encountered a real shoe tree one day, walking in Pioneer Park, a lovely place to walk in the cool months because it is not shade-chilled like our beloved Liberty.
“By its fruits ye shall know it”; thus, we identify a Shoe Tree at the extreme southeast corner of Pioneer Park.
